The Russian Orthodox Church is going to revive its own museum network, metropolitan Kliment, the manager of Moscow Patriarchate informs.
Before the revolution there used to be created church museums. I believe it is time for church now to establish closer interaction with museum workers, who have broad experience in preservation and restoration of monuments, and have up-to-date technological tools available. Then church can open its museums again, just like before the revolution- the metropolitan announced at the sitting of the Public Chamber’s Committee for Preservation of Cultural and Spiritual Legacy and the Presidium of the Union of Russian Museums.
