BELGRADE, Serbia (AP) — Patriarch Pavle, the head of Serbian Orthodox Church, has been hospitalized in stable condition, the church said Tuesday.
The 93-year-old patriarch is being treated at the Belgrade Military Hospital, the church said.
Serbian media have reported in recent days that the patriarch's health has worsened and his life is in danger. The Blic daily reported Tuesday that he was in serious condition due to old age, rather than a specific illness.
