Representatives of the Russian Orthodox Church claim that the state authorities must condemn Communism. According to the Deputy Secretary for church-society relations Father Grigory, Communism condemnation started in the 1990`s but was not accomplished and must continue.
In particular, the Orthodox suggest that the authorities must open memorial complexes, get rid of the sickle and hammer symbolic on the state buildings, remove monuments to “the bloody leaders”, and “the cemetery at the Kremlin wall”.
The state authorities have not yet officially responded to the Orthodox suggestion.
