Commemorated on January 23
The Sixth Ecumenical Council was convened by the emperor Constantine Pogonatos (668-685) at Constantinople in the year 681 to combat the Monothelite heresy. At it 171 holy Fathers were present, who affirmed the doctrine of two wills in Jesus Christ, the divine and the human.
This Council was followed by another Council in the year 691, called the Council of Trullo. This Council addressed certain practical matters, and 102 canons were promulgated.

“Ioana Adriana is the unique daughter of a school teacher, a young girl in her 17th; she was recently(15 January 2010) diagnosed with o quite agressive form of cancer(stage IV). Fortunately, she has a chance to recuperate. She has been through surgical tratment at The Central Military Hospital in Bucharest, and the tumor and the ganglios were extirpated. Now she is under chemotherapy in order to survive this terrible sickness. The treatment is very expensive, around 75.000 Euro, too expensive for her parents: her mother being a teacher and her father, retired, because he is sick, too.
The anathomo- pathologists which examined her established that she suffers of undifferentiated carcinoma, proliferating through the cells and the lateral cervical ganglios, possibly a Hodgkin lymphom. Both these types of cancer are very severe, degenerating very fast into metasthasis; it is also possible to recidivate within two years time. Unfortunately, in Romania, the solution to this case is beyond the possibilities of our scientist and doctors.
In Europe(France, Germany, UK, Italy, Holland) such cases are successfully solved, through radiotherapy and chemotherapy, due to the high technology.
Give her a chance to live! Help her praying for her health or donating o sum of money for her treatment!
