Of late I have spent very little time online anywhere, so friends, please forgive me for not writing and updating and also for not spending time on your sites to comment there.
Currently, the biggest time consumer for me is the International Food Festival being put on by my parish, St. Paul the Apostle Orthodox Church. It is being held on May 5th and May 6th, Saturday and Sunday on property.
If you should have any questions or if by chance you may be in Las Vegas on those days, feel free to contact either the church office or me. My information is listed in the section "Contact Us". If you're visiting the Valley and need transportation to this event or simply to get together with fellow Orthodox, the same invitation stands even should you come to Las Vegas at some other time.
Feel free to contact me even if you're not an Orthodox for any of the above reasons.

Ah...its festival time. Ours is this coming weekend.
Unfortuately I won't be in Las Vegas for your festival but hope to be there sometime within the next year. And when I go I'll be certain to stop in at your parish for the Divine Liturgy. "Minutes from the airport"...sounds good.
Hey, thanks for helping to organize the Food Festival. I'll be there on that Sunday, and I'm really looking forward to it.
Dixie,
Feel free to call me up for any needs you may have while here.
Aaron,
Yeah, I'm excited too but also ready for the whole thing to be over. We'll definately hang but watch out! If you get too close I may put you to work!
I just want to say that I am glad that there is a Church in Las Vegas.
Amen papa.
This festival is a great way to show the many different cultures that make Orthodoxy so great!
I'm a little late on responding, but I was wondering how the festival went?
George,
The festival went really well on all levels. The fellowship to make it what it was was the best part. The weather on Saturday was uncooperative and threatened to dump on us but it turned out fine.
Many people I invited had an oppurtunity to encounter Orthodoxy for the first time and I really enjoyed this.
St. John supported us both with attendance and some of their youth dancers showed up and performed.
And not to forget, I ate. Alot. And it was good.
Papa Herman,
So good to hear from you once again.
That's cool Soph. I'm glad the hear about the success of our Orthodox Churches. But you're still a trader for hanging with Commies. haha. Please tell everyone hello for me, including Fr. Eric.
In Christ and Fellowship
George,
Will do, brother. I won't hold it against you either for hanging out with the hippies in Oregon.
Soph,
Thanks for your insight to the comments on my blog. I clearly have much to learn about the Faith. Forgive me,
Aaron
ps - you guys make really good gyros
Aaron,
We all have much to learn about the Faith. It is my honor and pleasure to be of any help at all and I would add you did no wrong so no worries.
Thanks about the gyros.
George lay off the Reds they gave us great things, like vodka.
Good point Justin. But we all know Ouzo is why better than Vodka.
Hey Soph, I'm sure you heard of the recent communion of the Russian Churches. (GLORY TO GOD!) What doctrines did ROCOR not except?
George,
ROCOR is known for being VERY conservative(mostly if not exclusively Old Calendar, priests with beards and long hair, no pews, no choir, etc., etc.). As far as doctrine, OCA and ROCOR are both Orthodox in faith and substance. Many of the differences are political. I'm sure a little research online would yield much info.
