It has been this way since the Fall. What we are witnessing perhaps is its more rapid advance as technology makes it more and more possible.

Let's keep praying and repenting that we may be found worthy when He returns.(note-I am not predicting via these events that His return is imminent. However, I am taking Jesus' words at face value that He will return and that His return will be as "a thief in the night". Will I be as one of the 5 foolish virgins or as one of the 5 wise?)Sophocleshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07923381271179811989noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38889537.post-45763907785190040112010-09-18T08:05:04.317-07:002010-09-18T08:05:04.317-07:00This reminds me of a line from "Fiddler on th...This reminds me of a line from "Fiddler on the Roof." which goes:

Tevye: Again with the rich. What's wrong with being rich?

Perchik (the commie): It's no reason to marry. Money is the world's curse.

Tevye: May the Lord smite ME with it! AND MAY I NEVER RECOVER!!!

I find it very disturbing that this "Pope of Christian unity" is sounding like the Vacationer/Teleprompter in Chief. It sounds to me that what he's advocating is marxism-lite just without the atheism and totalitarianism that comes with it.

What I think makes it more perplexing is that there is a grain of truth in this. The Lord Jesus Christ said that it's easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to get into Heaven.

On the other hand perhaps the "Green Patriarch", Glorious Leader et al should follow this example and no longer accept donations from their rich benefactors who do all the things this Pope just mentioned. Or is it a double-standard when it comes to the Church?

""There may be growth, but a faithful Catholic does not call this progress, the pope argues, until the growth is more equitably shared according to the design of the Creator," says Daly."

And what exactly is that? And who monitors that? And who monitors the monitors?VSOhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12400266818545081938noreply@blogger.com
